Wow, I didn't think there are businesses specializing in layout moving!  :)

This is all very good news. It is impressive the lengths everyone (including the school) is going to in order to help preserve the layout. This is in stark contrast to what happened to the N and O scale layouts at Denver Union Station when it was renovated into the multiuse space it is now. The clubs had been told they'd be able to move back in after the renovation was done, but then part way through the work, they were told they wouldn't have space for the layouts. It was a disappointing loss, as the O scale layout was really well done and had been in the station for a few decades.

Great news!

I was a member of a "Society of Model Engineers" once, but ultimately we lost our home and that was that ... :|
