Chris- it appears to work if you are a "registered user" (as I am), so you don't need to subscribe as such. Cannot read the articles, but can see the index pages for the various magazines. Just gave them my email, never had to pay anything. And gives access to the search engine- I have most issues from the 80s and 90s stashed away, so that is handy. Also get the weekly update, which is not good for alot (since most services require subscription), but the "new products" listing works, which is sometimes handy, although I find I usually know about most new products via Railwire days or weeks prior, and MR doesn't cover smaller manufacturers as well as once upon a time.
