You Wreck 'em - We Fetch 'em

Here is a new wrecker from Showcase Miniatures.  This one comes in two flavors - both used and really used.  The Loadstar makes a great base for this 1960s era tow truck.  Kit comes complete with cast wheels, all the equipment needed, custom decals and a clear formed windshield (that must be cut to fit).  The missing hood section for the distressed version can also be cut from from the windshield form part.

@wbvrail -
Is any of this clear formed windshield available for the half dozen I purchased previously without?   ;)

We can probably do something about that.  I have just recently worked out this detail.

Email me with what you want...

Thanks,

Walter

Always on the lookout for 60's era yellow tow trucks but at $18 I don't know if Dale's towing is going to happen or not.  :)

If you look closely in the lower left, you'll see the crossing of the CGW and RI mainlines in Waterloo, IA.

With these and the GMC cabs available, I think I need to put in a new order soon.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

This is a really beautiful model!!!  Too bad its about 15 years too young for me but maybe sometime in the next century you will take a look at doing on appropriate for around 1945 or so...

I think it's a '51. May still be too new for you though.

That cab styling was introduced in 1948.  Very close, but it would be real stretch to work for 1945.   ;)

Oh, oh, really? I'm going to have to rethink these for my cca 1950 layout (Spring '51).  :D

That's just right!!!  Will have to do some research, though, on how it should be painted but it would definitely work!!!
