AZL Announces New Products at Portland NTS

AMERICAN Z LINE
New Products At NTS!

AZL has announced a series of all new products during the National Train Show in Portland Oregon. So what is coming?

-    Brass ATSF class Ce-1 cabooses
-   Injection SD70ACe and SD70M-2
-   GE Genesis P42 locomotive in injection
-   Amtrak Superliner cars in injection
-   Ford C Tractor (in co-operation with Z-Panzer)
-   Wedge trailer  (in co-operation with Z-Panzer)
-   Krauss Maffei ML-4000 diesel locomotives in brass.

AZL has not announced pricing or release dates for the items listed above.

The Krauss Maffei locomotives price should be around $700.00. We are accepting pre-orders for these locomotives. The D&RGW will be available in road numbers 4000, 4001 and 4002. The SP will have road numbers 9000, 90001 and 9002. If you would like to pre-order, email me at:

Additionally AZL showed samples of the corn syrup cars. These will be available beginning mid-September. Painted sample of the Trinity 64’ reefers were shown. We are anticipating these will be available before the end of the year. Also on hand was injection samples of the ES4400 shells and SD45 shells, both the low nose and high hood version.

Any credence to the rumors about flex track with North American tie spacing?

Just in case it's true, I also heard Peco would be making it and in c55

Bury 1/4 of the rail into the ties like they did in N scale. So you have only .040" showing above the ties.

I can confirm AZL is in talks with Peco. No official announcements were made during the NTS. Sorry I don't have a further details.
