3-aspect signals for $5 each?

Are these new?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-pcs-N-Scale-1-160-Railroad-Signals-3-aspects-G-Y-R-LEDs-made-N-/260835635635?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276

A bit clunky looking, particularly the ladder, but you can't complain about the price. Anybody know anything about these?

Well, they are a scale 18' high, and the post is .078" (or about a scale 12") according to the ruler in the photo.

Anybody know what the correct height and diameter should really be?  The LEDs themselves look big to me.

I think they look like a good deal for what they are, but they do look chunky.

Heh heh. "wehonest_us" has been around for a while with this stuff.

But ya' know... $4 for representative, working stand-ins really isn't bad if you're working on detection and electronics at the same time your bench is covered in fine-scale signal parts waiting for the roundtuit.

@wm3798 had some in his old WM layout. They are a bit chunky but seem to work well and can be improved with a bit  of paint and an etched ladder.

Mike, my entire layout is a working stand-in.  :D

Does anyone remember if Lee wrote anything abut using 'em? May have to exhume his old thread ...

Actually, I bought something a while back from "we honest" (not signals) and they were.
In contrast to businesses in this country that have the word honest, or reliable, or some such in their name, when I tend to run for cover ;)

No, these are not new.  Bought a few, a couple of years ago.  They do work, and yes they are as clunky in person as they appear in the photo.  No self-respecting a$$hat would ever put these on his layout...

Just in case you want to go over to the dark side, the same company sells a "Logic Delay Switch" which I almost purchased, but pulled back just in time.
