Why isn't Rasputen making your Ramblers?
You might want to start begging MadAboutCars (Rapidpro) on Shapeways. He has an extensive vehicle line in HO and is gradually making them in N-scale--in pairs! Probably a way better chance of getting him to make them than me (unless you can find me a suitable donor).
Who ever makes 'em first. Or, whoever makes 'em...period. I ain't picky. Actually Brian does have a '65 2 door Rambler Classic that I'll be ordering shortly. Soon as I decide what other cars of his I want.
Finding suitable donors is the problem. There haven't been that many Rambler models made. Especially the sedans and wagons. Johan made quite a few 1/25 scale dealer promo models, back in the 60's. And Dinky made a of diecast wagons in 1/43 scale. But other than that, I haven't found anything. Except one HO sized Dinky Rambler wagon. But the detail is not very good, and there is no "glass" in it. If I ever get my laser scanner figured out, I'm going to scan both the 1/43 & HO wagons.
By the way, does anybody have a link to MadAboutCars? I went to Shapeways and, unless I'm doing something wrong, searching for specific shops is a PITA.
