Looks pretty good with the free-standing grabirons.    Would benefit from some add-on I-beams to take up some of the "air space" in the underframe area.

If anyone feels like sending me a free one, I'll be happy to make a sidesill/stanchion etching and some pilots, so you can install scale wire handrails.  :D

Definitely looks like good tooling and decent grab irons. The handrail are what they are. Now if we could just get a look under the hood at the mechanism.

The hand rails and windows look to be 3d printed... It looks good for a starting point...
Hopefully undecoreated and unassembled will be available!

I think these were posted in some other thread somewhere.  And I think I remarked that factory installed sunshades and separate grab-irons was a new development for N scale.

Not sure why people are so down on IM hood locos.  The quality is typically comparable to Atlas in recent years.  I agree it's a shame neither of those manufacturers has made a good effort on underframe details to hide the contact strips, a la Kato.   But I find that otherwise they somehow look a little more realistic than Kato, with their even-more-oversize handrails and glossy paint.

Also any model that uses the Atlas designed 6-axle trucks is going to be growly runner.  Oh well.

The handrails look straight and sturdy which has been my one issue with IMRC in recent years...

At a minimum, looks like we get a much better shell (hopefully) than the error filled Kato shells ...

A frame can be easily added with a little effort.

That's a dramatic improvement!  Nice work on the fuel/air tanks too!   8)

Yeah Aaron, that is the kind of extra effort that I think should be take by some manufacturers that can really improve their models visually.  Nice job.
