UP's New Mexico/Arizona Centennial Tour of 2011 in N scale

In November 2011, 844 came through New Mexico and El Paso on it's Centennial Tour. The following video is the consist for that tour. I was not aware that the tender was jacked up in the rear at the time. Note how smooth the ESU Loksound Select Micro decoder operates the coreless motor and how the Steam Collection sound file fits the loco. The UP 1996 was consisted with 844 and ran very well with it. I had to do quite a bit of cv adjusting to get it to run well. Is this KATO too fast ? ?

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy,
Carl

You got it, a few miles west from where this used to be

I found the sign about 25 miles west of where it was supposed to be, off of railroad property.
