At the risk of bringing up an old topic here, there are several other factory painted (ready to run) RI cabooses out there.   

The LL caboose is close but requires porthole windows on the ends.  And MTL did a RI scheme on their wood caboose.

American Model Builders is the company doing the laser kit cabeese. They represent very early 1900 versions and might be able to be bashed into something you are looking for.

I'd certainly be in the market for a few Southern Pacific C-40-3 steel cupola caboose models. They were very numerous in their day and are a nice transition between the Micro-Trains wooden caboose and the Micro-Trains or Athearn bay window models. Cotton Belt also used them.

The Atlas/RivaRossi caboose is a C-40-4 and still holds up well detail-wise.
