I can't seem to find this truck on the MTL website - will it ever be available separately?

It was first released on the 60' double plug door box car I think.

They don't have one.  All of their trucks including the Barber RB are 70-ton.  You should go with the BLMA or Atlas versions of the ACF Ride Control 100-ton truck.

I seem to remember that they were supposed to have tooled one up. Or did they just put 36" wheels into the 70 ton truck frames?

I thought try did a 100t for one of their new hoppers. I know they were including 36" on their 70 trucks but I thought they made a proper one after that.

Hello from middle of no where Wyoming...on the way to Denver.

The model will have two different underframes for the differnt bolster centers and a new truck for the 36 inch wheel version...proper length between axles.  We are also doing some interesting surface detail work that will make these cars out of the ordinary.  More when I get time to relax in Denver.

Joe

and

Sorry, got busy.

Tooling is underway, I have the first shots of the underframe and am testing the two different truck locations now with couplers.   So far so good.  We have been doing some experiments with the roof walks and are looking at new materials.   The new 100 ton truck is about ready to test shoot and I will post shots as they show up.  Tooling notes that we should see first shots of the shell next week...parts are in EDM right now.  So stuff is coming together.  I am hoping by mid month to have all the parts so I can post shots.

Cheers
Joe

 ;)
its ASF Ride Control truck, they used to come in 40,50,70,100 ton versions,
but seems that only the 100 Ton Roller bearing is a regular Amsted item today.
speaking of Trucks, now and then come across "Combo", have seen 100 ton versions,
any one know Who Cast and Marketed those Trucks ?

Spookshow has it on his site, says it is available on that 60' boxcar.

Sure would be a no-brainer to offer it for sale like the other trucks.

The 115 type -65' log car and the 122 type -60' Greenville box car both come with the "new" 100 ton truck.  Have not seen any announcement that they have been assigned a part number and are available separately.  I am fairly sure that they can be ordered direct from MTL anyway.

We were attempting to do the rippled surface you seen on these cars, but it proved to be too subtle and would have played hell with printing.

So Joe,

Is this truck unobtainium? Or is there a plan to offer them for sale?

No soup for you.   :D

That truck would be the 1139 series.  We haven't gotten around to officially packaging that but if you contact the front office they can bundle them in quantities that match existing coupler-less trucks.  The rode on 36 in wheels.
