NP Passenger fans hold on tight......

Lowell Smith has just announced some NP passenger cars... like most of his stuff I can't vouch for the prototypical fidelity but it sure is "purdy".........

Ironically, I did an NP HW baggage car out of the same WOT car a few years ago. I numbered it 1505 (because there was a series 1501-1504 of a very similar cars - different door spacing) The LS car is very similar but without the windows.

I saw these sets at the Monroe, WA Show this weekend.  They are very nice and he commented that he used our NPRHA color cards for the paint match. 
I thought the paint looked spot on but did not have a card set handy to make a direct comparison. 
He also showed me an upcoming NP RPO that will be announced shortly.

My good friend, a devout Canadiens fan was a mentor of mine in the paper and print industry; ergo I named it for him and his "ah hum" hockey team..... bah!

How does Lowell do this?
If you look at the NP baggage car on his site:

the car doesn't seem to have all those rivets; it is smoother, and as you mentioned, the small windows are gone.
But there are other differences too.  Look at the machinery hung under the car.  Completely different.

So... he is not just doing small customization paint jobs.  He is getting WOT to actually tweak their molds
for this?   Cool.

Well I added the windows and some underbody stuff...... I can't say about the rivets.....
