Hey jreising.  I was out there too with the ATRRM convention.  The night operations on Saturday night were the most fun with night photos in years.   :D. Haven't been out to Union since 94.

Ah!  Wish I had known or seen you!  I'm there for Museum Showcase / Members' Weekend every year - wouldn't miss it, because that's when they do special stuff.  At night, I was in Dover Strait - first time in service at IRM and still under restoration - behind 1630.  The gent who is spearheading the restoration was with us and told us of all the gory details.  Quite a ride.

Most N scale steam cylinders are too wide because the wheels are too wide.  If we used scale wheels, the cylinders could be the right width, but then track laying would be MUCH more interesting(?)...

It could be done, just ask the 2mm folks in England, but probably wouldn't be commercially viable.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Looks like some of the places I've been in the upper Midwest.  Very nice road.
