You SPFs act as if that's a problem, having an overabundance of riches.
It actually forces you to be more focused (which is a good thing), given that any modeler is only replicating a sliver of the region and era of the railroad being represented.
I said it half tongue-in-cheek, half truthfully. The problem isn't the abundance by itself...it's the abundance plus the pre-order system. Everything coming at me in Pennsy right now is, in fact, correct for the Middle Division circa 1956.
Seriously, though, if there were a way to stagger these such that I'm not hit with a grand worth of arrivals in a two-month period and then 10 months without... The problem is that everything is "Buy it NOW or buy it NEVER."
So please recognize the difference. I'm ecstatic that so much proto-Pennsy awesomeness is coming at us. My wallet on the other hand...not so much. We have other family activities and hobbies that also compete for our hobby cash too that would benefit from a more predictable and stable model railroad budget.
