Aye... they do be here lads...........
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

My wallet just coughed. The MT-1500, Arnold U-boat, and now this cool loco. Gee, Atlas S-2's will probably show now too. And BLI Pennsy M-1's due in March?? When it rains, it pours, but in a good way. Just don't tell the GF;)

Those of us waiting for the Rapido GMD-1 should soon be happy. At least one vendor has stock so they'll be out on the street. I'm looking forward to how see how they run and the reviews from the hopefully happy owner

I picked mine up today.  I don't have the ability to run it at home so I played with it on the track at the store for a bit.  It's an excellent model.  The trucks are just right with the smaller 27" idler in the middle.  You can see right through the cab. The small fuel tank is perfect with no mechanism sticking out underneath.  The sound is right on from what I can recall.  It has that, just about to throw a piston kind of sound that I remember.  The horn and bell sound right to me as well.  It ran nicely out of the box.  I'm sure with a good break in it will be a favourite.

Edit:  One complaint, the handrails stanchions are crooked, like the handrail was too short and was pulled to the side to reach the cab, tilting the stanchions toward the cab. Etched handrails may be in the future which, as with any N scale model, brings it to a whole other level, but I must say that for $300 it should have straight handrails.

Can you send me a photo so I can see what might have happened.... our factory samples didn't show this problem but ya never know what might have happened....

Sorry for the issue... we'll see what we can do.
