Atlas Please Rerun Trainmasters

Dear Atlas, Please rerun your H24-66 Trainmasters!  There's only been one release since 2003, and that was in 2010-2011.  There are still roadnames to be done and especially on the new body style with larger number boards and other improvements.  I'd personally like to see another run of Virginian Trainmansters myself.

I hope you consider doing a new run, but my wallet wouldn't like a new run though!  :D

There really aren't any new road names or paint schemes to be done (accurately).  We haven't done Southern, because they had low end platforms, and there is no way to adapt the paint scheme to our model and make it look right.

I am sure that we will run them again at some point in the future, but right now the demand isn't there to support a production run.

Thanks Paul, always good to know companies are listening.  Hopefully another production won't be too far off.  And at least my wallet is safe for now, or at least until the stuff in this year's catalog comes out!

Paul,

Without giving away any trade secrets, it would be interesting to know how you know "there isn't demand for the XXX for a second run."

Or, how much does volume of requests at shows, here, and/or previous sales influenced those kinds of decisions?

How about updated GP30/35/40 in CB&Q?

Our salespeople regularly talk to retailers and distributors to get feel for what the market is requesting.  Add in the various requests from forums, email, phone calls, letters (yes we still get them), and show appearances, along with a pinch of good old gut feeling, and we come up with our release schedule.

So, no multi million dollar marketing surveys? I'm shocked! :D  And snail mail?  Did that letter I wrote you in 1967 ever get there? :)

Of course, these days, you could cheaply use survey monkey among your FB likes, or something.  On the other hand, your company is made up of model railroaders, and I guess that gut feel is probably pretty good.

Thanks for the response.  And for all the N scale locos and rolling stock you do make, especially in N.  Hard to believe, but I have been buying Atlas products for at least 50 years now......

Paul,
Here is another suggestion to add to your list, Please produce the final phase FM H16-44, i.e. the one where the walkway is the same level on the locomotive.

Here are a few photos:

Did I mention the Pittsburgh & West Virginia  :D

Thanks in advance for your consideration on this project Paul  :D
