Removing Paint From A Con-Cor Gon

I have an old Con-Cor fishbelly gon that needs to have the paint removed.  Should I use brake fluid, 70% isopropyl, Easy Lift-Off ???  Don't want to damage the car body.

ELO should be the best one for this.  70% alcohol is too weak to do anything. Brake Fluid ... well, that is old standby (and ELO has a similar ingredient to brake fluid and it is specifically designed for removing paint).  But just like the warning labels say - there are no guarantees about no damage. However I think the plastic will survive.

Hey Doug,

Not an expert by any stretch of the imagination and only guess at some things. I have used brake fluid, in the past, that attacked the plastic and made it very brittle. I have just recently used 91% isopropyl on a ConCor box car that was a blue color and also on an auxiliary tender that was Daylight colors. After soaking for a couple of hours an old stiff tooth brush removed most of the paint. The orange and red on the tender is being a little stubborn, maybe because it is TruColor brand ? ? ?  BTW the plastic has not been attacked.

91% isopropyl alcohol, a toothbrush will work, but this brush will work better...
