Picked up the latest Blueford Shops Transfer Caboose today from my LHS. The car I purchased is the P&LE 556 transfer caboose.

Thank you Blueford Shops for doing this car in two road numbers for the P&LE.

Yep.

I got the B&O one- that was specially painted on CSX.

Hey Blueford!

Do The Love Shack next!
It is just too cool.

Notice that on one end.....
THE Love Shack   (THE is present) in low position.

The other end.
Love Shack   (no THE) in high position.

And since this is such a weird caboose, get Woodland scenics to make you a couple of CSX employees for it!

Is that the one you can spot from I-94 sometimes in the Chicago area?

I Friday found a Conrail one on eBay. I bought it at $40, and you know what? With every penny.

Great little cab car.

I suspect that, like my old Army barracks in Virginia, it will be he squeaking of the bed and not the rock'n of the cab that will tell you someone got lucky...

The BN caboose Bluford did was a GN built caboose made from a VO-1000 frame and retained the VO-1000 trucks (understandably Bluford just used regular caboose trucks).  I have looked at buying VO-1000 trucks from Atlas, but after cutting off the gear tower there does not look like there is enough material left to mount to the caboose or to retain the wheels.  Anyone have any ideas?
