And, I can personally attest to the fact that the Hallmark stock brass replacement gears worked very well, at least for the original type Samhongsa "micro-gear" diesel mechanism.  Slightly noisier than the original nylon, but when broken in, slow speed operation was as good as  a modern Intermountain F-unit.
