Got my new CC55 today, and there's an odd thing about it. It's the same model number as my old one, and the spare I'm using now, and the instruction sheet is ALMOST identical. But the new one will only accept 12V DC, with proper polarity, while the ones I had run on AC or DC, at higher voltages, and don't care about the polarity. Weird. Any idea when MRC changed, and which is the "new" version?
This one will work fine for me, and all I need to do to run it on AC is install a bridge rectifier in the input, but it's just odd that they made two versions of the same model.
