TrainCat N9 transfer caboose kit (Conrail style) question

A friend of mine (no really, it's not me... though I do have the same question now that I've had enough of the blue Kool-Aid) has been wanting to build a Conrail transfer caboose (http://static.panoramio.com/photos/large/73850465.jpg). Recently he asked me how he might build one and I mentioned that TrainCat did the N9 and it's a perfect match the one he wants to build. Problem is that it's been discontinued and Bob hasn't been reachable (my friend has been trying for over a week).  So, with that said, a few questions. First, does anyone happen to have one of these, built or unbuilt, that they'd be willing to part with (for money, gold, diamonds, bacon...)?  Second, if not that, does anyone know how to get in touch with Bob other than his email address on the TrainCat website?  Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Another option - Bluford Shops did a Conrail transfer caboose (RTR) that's pretty darned close to what you want -

Thanks Spooky. Saw that one and it's tasty, but my friend wants to model that specific caboose as close as possible, so if he can't get one of the ones Bob did, he'll probably just scratch it.  I, on the other hand, would be perfectly satisfied with one of the Bluford Shops' ones, if only I could find one!

And thanks, Pete. I'll give him a go.

If not, I think I might have one I could be convinced to part with (if I know it's going to a good home).

Fantastic, Ed! For proof that it's a "good home"...

That's a part of his fleet (he's working on more, including a pair of GP20s at the moment).

(full strip, repaint, decals so far)

I'll PM you his contact info.  8)

Hmm... cat's out of the
bag... Kiz doesn't care for
Conrail...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

I think this will be the only Conrail Transfer Caboose to run behind a Conrail FA 2... Quite an honor.. :)

Whats the story on the RS3, RS1 and... RS11? in the back..?

A Long LONG time ago I did models of the AEH-12, The stub nose RS3m and the Hammerhead RS3m..  Then I sold them.. always wondered where they went..

My Grandfather had one of those Conrail Plymouth switchers.. that was a great little engine..

Is the blue double stack from the N Scale Enthusiast set?  ~Ian

He says yes, the double-stacks are from the N-Scale Enthusiast set, and he's got the containers that go with it.

As for the RS units, the RS11 is an Ontario Midland RR unit, being super detailed.  And the RS1 and RS3 are future Conrail repaints, maybe PC patch jobs.

I might be doing a hammerhead, if I can scrounge up enough spare shell parts.  8)
