E33, E44, EF-3 Electrics in FUD (Shapeways)

What is this going to be?  This looks like an E-44 body, but it appears the paint job is going to be a New Haven EF-4 (which is an E-33 by Penn Central designation and actually is an EL-C using the original Virginian designation).

Looks like an E33 body to me. One of these days I really need to finish my E44.

I'm not seeing much of a slope on the ends, but it could be the distortion in the photos.

The New Haven classified theses as EF-4's and when transferred  to Penn Central they became E33's so they are the same.

Indeed, a rose by any other name. My point was that it does not have the roofline or other spotting features of the E44.

Great job on your EF-4!
I have always wanted to make a E33 (conrail era) to go with my E44A, but its low roof clearence is too big of a challenge for me to fit the chassis in.
I would still suggest you to replace the stock lightboard with a TCS AMD4 decoder. The AMD4 is flat like a piece of paper, so you can get a least 2 extra mm to fit the shell in.

I should really start painting my next E44 in... dirty PC black. I wonder was it ever glossy? They always looked dirty and dusty.

Once funds become available I will add a decoder, but for now DC is what she is.  Once I find a few more house I need to get the decals and handrails installed.
