Bachmann DD40AX Coupler Question
« on: September 10, 2014, 04:53:59 PM »

I'm a bit confused re the coupler situation on the latest (DCC-equipped) version of Bachmann's Double-D. My understanding hitherto has been -

1st run - one-piece knuckles on the model and ala-carte Rapidos in the box
2nd run - one-piece knuckles on the model and ala-carte E-Z Mates in the box

All well and good, but today I got an email from a guy who said that his came with E-Z Mates on the model and Rapidos in the box. Is this a 3rd run? Or... what? Anybody else bought one lately?

Thanks!
-Mark

The latest run has a Tsunami sound decoder (not just plain DCC).
I can't check mine now but IIRC, it had the "boxing-glove" EZmates installed (not sure what was ala-carte).

:|     The two sound equiped locomotives I reciently purchased have E Z Mates and Krapado Couplers in a small plastic bag. The coupler height is good as the last run of the no sound locos had coupler height mis match. Nate Goodman (Nato).

Both types are in the bag?  What is on the model?

Their boxing gloves one piece dummy.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Huh?   I thought that the boxing-glove *WAS* the EZ-mate. Now you're going to make me take mine out to see what they installed on my model.
