Milwaukee Road Ballast Hopper Lettering.

So I know what the general opinion is about detailing, but at the moment, I just want to add train length.

I figure that the greatest collection of experts is already assembled here, so I was hoping someone might know if there are any current decals that can be obtained for lettering up a few of the Walthers ballast hoppers for the old Milwaukee Road.

you might be able to use the covered hopper set from Microscale.

All the Milwaukee Road lettering for the covered hoppers are in black. The only commercial option of which I am aware is to see if the white boxcar lettering would work. You would need to piece together the other lettering from additional sets.

I have a rebuilt twin bay hopper project sitting in a drawer and my plan was to use my digital cutter to cut out individual letters from a white decal paper sheet for the MILWAUKEE ROAD lettering. Since each letter needs to be applied separately it isn't too big of a problem, and I won't have any film edges to hide. I should give this a go soon, but I have been busy with other things. I have 2 or 3 of these in factory paint that  I would be willing to sell since they are too modern for my era. Send me an email if interested.

Thanks for the info. I might be interested in acquiring a few more if they are already lettered, but I think now I'm actually more interested in this digital cutter. It sounds like the wave of the future.
