I could really use some freight car parts, stirrups, etc..
The last thread I saw here was for 2017 where it was said maybe they are coming soon.

Anyone here know anything?

Are these any use? they aren't BLMA but  since atlas is a bit spotty on supply you might want to consider these.

I hope Craig is doing well.

Why Atlas bought the brand and then seems to have forgotten the products that made me  really like it is beyond me.

He is. Atlas bought the brand for the trucks and the freight cars. Detail parts are just meh...

I have the Gold Medal parts I can use. I also just got a bunch of JNJ parts. I guess builders of freight cars aren't much of a market for N.

I hope Craig is doing well.

Craig is doing great! Since he sold BLMA, he got married, had two daughters and started building an excellent modern-era N scale layout based on the UP line through Afton Canyon in California's Mojave Desert (he told me he unfortunately never had the time for a layout during his BLMA days - it all became too much work and not enough hobby, which is probably the main reason he sold it).

Here's his layout's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcfQH2t2GfviDThfiU-2iHw/featured

Very nice!

But, a question, and a comment.  First, are the flickering signals an artifact of LEDs on unfiltered power and intervals between images, or does the UP use them for specific meanings?

He might also want to look at the couplers between the third and fourth units.  They're not at the same height, and don't look too secure.

For one, I am humbled. Afton Canyon is an LDE for me, and I have no chance in hell of coming anywhere close to what Craig has executed. Wow. He is the master.

The signals: it's the driver card he's using, and he has dimmed the LEDs. The normal technique is PWM - pulse width modulation - to control the brightness. It works by turning the LED completely off for a few milliseconds. It's imperceptible to direct viewing, but the camera uses a scanning technique to collect the image pixels, which catches the "off" periods in the PWM.
