I know this has been posted in years past and is probably not news to any true SPF, but in 1985-6 Strasburg paired their two operating Pennsy engines, the 80-inch drivered E7s 4-4-2 #7002 and D16sb 4-4-0 #1223 and ran them at track speed over Amtrak's Keystone Corridor and the Conrail C&PD branch.
If ever I want a reminder of why I love Pennsy, I can watch this throwback to the Standard Era of the Standard Railroad of the World, America's Broad Way of Commerce, the mighty, incomparable Pennsylvania Rail Road.
But, perhaps less well known is this awesome color clip of Pennsy mainline steam in the 1940s.
And some 50s/60s action.
