Lehigh Valley Mauch Chunk

Found this colorized postcard of the old Lehigh Valley station at Mauch Chunk...


This area was swept clean by a flood and the station was moved around the curve.

You may be able to make out the short Jersey Central train on the other side of the river.

nice find, now there is sewer plant where the station is, the canal is long gone and filled in. Most of the buildings on the other side of the river to the left of the Jersey Central Train are long gone. I do regoinze a few of the buildings in the upper right (including the chruch) Kind of shocking to see how developed this was back then.
