I'm stealing someone else's thunder here, in the interest of time, but someone posted the following info not long ago on here:

Dremel, with ultra-thin (.005") separating discs.  Best for cutting gaps in track.

Beware, I have no knowledge or experience with this company.  I just copied this into my "to purchase" file.
NOTE: I'm no longer active on this forum.   If you need to contact me, use the e-mail address (or visit the website link) attached to this username.  Thanks.

I use the Dedeco .009" A/O cutting discs.
http://www.dedeco.com/product/807/AO-THIN-DISCSbr-78-X-009-Br-100BX/5183/
(.005" is too thin, methinks)

But have no clue if they can deliver in a day.

Guys, thanks. I tried search and could not find the link here. Don't remember going into that thread, so I am not surprised I did not find it. Ordered the .009 and shipping was x2 the item costs, but I have a piece of equipment down in the shop and the downtime is $1000/day. Worth every penny.

Ace Hardware sells Dremel and replacement discs under their brand name (Ace). Same as the Dremel cutoff disc.
Phoenix Southside Connecting Railroad (H0)
Moose River Railroad (N)

The thinnest Dremel wheels are .025" thick. I use the Dedeco for cutting gaps in PC ties because they are just as wide as a Zona saw blade.
