Micro Trains MR heavyweights?

I picked up an observation and a RPO and they arrived today.  The RPO has black trucks, while the observation has trucks painted to match the body color.  Is this accurate?

:|             I could probably tell you if you said what road name (names) your cars are painted and lettered for. Nate Goodman (Nato).

MR = Milwaukee Road (I'm assuming).

The RPO should have brown trucks also.  MTL corrected it on the later cars, but the RPO was the first out.

:|              Milwaukee cars of the late 1920's 1930's to early 40's era had brown trucks. If you are modeling Post War, trucks were black and car roof's could either be Gray, or the color of the MT cars. As an aside I came across one of two color pictures of an open platform Obs car in use on the Olympian Hiawatha before the Sky Top Sleeper lounges were delivered. Painted in the 1947 era Orange and Maroon the rear railing appears to have the outer rails painted brown, but the inside vertical rails (bars) painted black. Photo is on page 82 in the book "The Cars of Pullman" by Joe Welsh. Bill Howles. & Kevin J. Holland. Nate Goodman (Nato).

Great info!  I think I am going to leave them as they are.  These cars in colors are even more awesome then green and black!
