CRHS brings back blue cabooses to Pennsylvania (also, Eds Law)

Over the last week or so, the CRHS has brought back blue cabooses to the Keystone State. Here we see CR 21165 (ex Erie Lackawanna) with 3 NJ Transit cars enroute to Allentown, PA from Harrisburg on NS train 33A.

And at Rockville Bridge

I remember there being an 'Ed's Law' challenge on passenger cars with a caboose.  Well, Eds Law in full effect!

Here's another pic passing the Fleetwood Auto Body plant on the transfer train from Allentown to Reading

(That's a little more like it)

Final destination is Topton, PA for painting and eventually operation.

What I want to know is what the heck is that beefy gondola in front of it.

They were made out of either bulkhead flats or pulpwood racks, hence the weird design.

I wonder of the sides are reinforced to hold a crane or end loader running on top of the car for loading and unloading?  It does seem a little over braced for a load of ties.

Yes, you can run a Jimbo crane (walking beam crane) over them.
