Hello all...
actually had some time to work on another of the fantastic items released by these folks! (the signal kits are truly marvelous)...it's been raining cats and dogs all weekend here in Coastal Alabama.
A mix of cast white metal and lasercut basswood...this builds into a very nice piece that will look great in the foreground of any layout where power is needed. Mine will occupy just such an area...between the tracks ans route 66 on my Kingman Canyon layout for the Santa Fe Room. Went together in no time with CA adhesive...here, it is posed in it's intended location; the transformers are not glued, but just set in place for the pics...I'll paint them seperately from the pole assembly, then glue them.
Thanks for looking,
~Bruce

That came out really nice. I have one to do soon - what paints did you use?

I painted it before I retired last evening, I'll post pics this evening...
I brushed the whole thing (sans transformers) with SP Lark Dark Gray...then a series of light drybrushing with rail brown and light gray. The transformers were painted in SP gravel gray, a nice medium blue-gray...the whole thing will get a black wash, then some careful drybrushing before a matt clear coat. the insulators will be stripped back to white metal then tipped in Tamiya clear smoke.

The painting and weathering of this one is done...only the insulators remain to be painted. When I'm ready to actually 'plant' it on the layout, the handy little base template will be buried in the sand, and I'll figure how I want to wire it and what cables to use.
A great, inexpensive little kit that really adds a touch of realism to the scene!
