Micro Trains best fit??

I have the following engines with Rapido couplers that I have dug out and will be putting on my layout.  I need to fulfill my Burlington Northern itch from time to time.  I just received my U30C and when I dug out the rest of my BN locos I realized I still had Rapidos on them.  Good Grief, have they been packed away that long???? :?!!!

All are body mount couplers:

Atlas GP-30
Kato C30-7
Kato SD40
Kato SD45

Thanks!
Brian

The GP30 takes a Micro-Trains #1015 coupler (or a 1016 if the loco will be running on tight radius track).
I never had any of the Katos listed, so I can't help there.

Hmm... Kiz can't help
here either...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

The Kato units most likely take #2001/2004 couplers, which is the caboose-style offset shank version of the #1015.

Go to the MTL web site and look for the couple conversion section.  It will give you the correct coupler for your engine.

Are the Katos from the 1990s?

If so they will take 1015.

The SD40 should be a 2004.

Hmmm, I got two of the older ones...guess I should check which couplers are on those.

Wow, I forgot how small those springs were!  Well at least the last 5 rapido couplered engines are now up to date!!
