I think the trainworx flats could also be used also for early racks.

Unlikely on the panels being offered separately, due to the variations in herald panels and the designs of the panels themselves.  The only prior MTL model these panels fit, for example, is the Penn Central bi-level from nine years ago.  The applications are unique to each car (or car series), for the most part.

And that is the car I have and would want to add panels too :)  I'd have to reinitial the flat.. So I'll just leave it and wait for the new releases.

You also can't simply retrofit the vandal panels on the Penn Central car because the end stanchions are different.  You'd have to either remove the ladders from the etching, or remove the ladders from the end stanchions and repaint them.  If you were to remove the etched ladders, I'm fairly certain the panels still won't fit without modification.

We have to see how the EL car does first before deciding on additional releases.  CR is on the short list, as is (as I shudder) SP.  Also tri-levels are in the mix.  But everything is contingent on the demand for the first car.
