Anyone know of a source for the rear headlight of a GP40-2LW? This is final part missing for my kit-bashing
project to do three of  these. I looked at Miniatures by Eric and found this NL8 but am not sure of it's size. I am hoping here on TRW that someone is familiar with this part and can tell me if it's the right one or not.
I have emailed Eric and asked him as well.

I used a MT truck pin, drilled a larger hole in the shell and installed from behind.  A central small hole for light or lens is easy due to the dimple in the part.  It worked very nicely and was easy to do.

Chris Dittmar used NL-1 which has both the front and rear light housings .

Pictures in March/April 2013 N scale.

I bought a number of NL-1's for both CN and CP locomotives. Being that MBE is Canadian, I assume that the pair is intended for 2nd generation GMD locomotives as this pairing, with the exception of units intended to operate long hood forward such as road switchers, was standard fare beginning at some point in the 1960's.

Wow, they really did go all out to reduce weight, didn't they?

That's like the STI that comes without a radio because it's too heavy...

Most Canadian road engines only have a single light back there. Look at just about any Canadian-built SD40/SD40-2.

It's not like that's normally even used as an actual headlight...

Road-switcher units typically have double-light rear headlights.

I used brass tubing so I could insert a fiber optic.  The Eric park is small it's tough to drill, they always break off, and frankly, I don't think they look like much other than a blob.

Its the same as the ditch lights... actually an easy match though not so in changing the detail.
