I can think of a few other people who will want to send these off to a good friend to be patched.
Ed has the right idea.

If you want to create a "patch-job" (even though CR fully repainted 16 cars and never patched any, by the way) - you are financially better off buying the kit at $45 and decorating it yourself rather than spending $125 on the GMY version and patching it for CR.

Oh, absolutely, and it would be beyond criminal for me to mess up Scott's work with my ham hands...

Ed, don't even talk about messing up my work right now.  There is an inside joke happening right now with Bryan and myself regarding this.  Trust me, there is nothing you could do that could mess up what I just messed up.

Conrail is coming.  But this will be first, as it is the scheme that will send hearts aflutter.  8)

Available on the Ides of March!

Bryan,
Those Getto Screens you have on  this are they an etched product? I am doing several B&M buggies that need the same treatment and am wondering if they are available somewhere.

Jon,

The prototype screens are unique, and the etched part is based on the prototype.  They are designed specifically to fit the windows of the KV model and won't be available separately.

For your B&M "New Image" caboose screens, I recommend Hasegawa Trypart modeling mesh.  It's only marketed in Japan, but you can Google for U.S. sources.  As with the KV screens, the Trypart is thin etched stainless steel.  The mesh is super-fine and there are various styles - square, diamond and hexagonal.  It's exactly what you are looking for.  Based on your prototype photo, you want the diamond mesh (item# PA-21).
