I have not seen them in person, but they look like they're really nice, especially the door detail. Here's a photo from an Amazon page:

I suspect they are made to British N scale which is 1:148; so they might not fit in a typical well car, and might look oversize compared to a standard 1:160 container.  I think that's what this Amazon bullet is trying to say:

* Scale - 1:160 (UK Models 1:148)

:facepalm:

I've picked a couple up at one time and they don't fit - and are very obviously too big when next to other containers.

But they are really nice.

Lookout for HobbyTrain or Minitrix stuff - they have some ISO containers - including two kinds of Tank Containers that are perfect 1/160.

I believe other listings of these on eBay have given 'full disclosure' that these are 1:148.  That would conform with Lou's experience.   I've been tempted but have stayed away for that reason.   Same with the many great paint schemes available in 1:150 from Japan.  Just not going to work on a stacktrain.

Won't work on a stack train, but the Japanese containers would work as props next to buildings or on the highway on trucks...

I really should start to put together my vehicle notes. I had compiled a list of available containers, sizes and what they should represent years ago. The list never included 1/148 or 1/150 scale because there just wasn't much available at the time. Now, with Tomytec containers packs cheaper and more available than stuff here, It may be time to include them as well.

There are some interesting Japanese containers out there, BTW - one with side doors looks a LOT like the
US military ammunition containers

Farish
containers look very finely detailed.  Perched on a chassis and placed near a K-barrier/chain link fence this would be an incredible edge of aisle scene...
