Missing coupler clips

I recently picked up a couple LifeLike Proto series units and I seem to have misplaced a coupler clip. For those that don't know what the hell I'm talking about, I've included a picture of one.

I know Walthers bought LL some time ago, and I've already spoken to them today with no luck. No Longer Available. Does anyone have any ideas?

Those clips look a lot like Kato clips, You may want to see if Kato clips may replace them.

Do you have any Atlas locos? Try their clips on the Lifelike engine, and if they fit, you can order clips from Atlas.

Hmm... that just might
work...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

If you're installing MT couplers, you could also screw the coupler box into the unit

I currently have 5 Atlas units, and none of them have a coupler retainer - just coupler boxes screwed in place. I have however, been looking at *.PDF parts diagrams on the Atlas website this morning as well as test fitting Atlas parts on my LifeLike units and that seems to be a workable solution. Atlas also sells them for a measly $0.35.

If you're installing MT couplers, you could also screw the coupler box into the unit

I've examined that option and I fear the screws will poke up through the treadplate, particularly on my SW9's.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

Atlas still provoided Rapido couplers and clips with their loco's.
If you have the gray foam packaging, look in the little corner cut out for a small plastic bag.
Should have the rapidos and clips there.
If you have the old white vacuum formed liner, lift it out.
The rapido bag is usually taped to the bottom of the white cradle.
I've found that the clips from Atlas/LL/Kato are pretty much interchangable.

You can get shorter screws, or cut them down also.

That is a small price to pay for a solidly mounted coupler.  The screw can be cut to end flush with the deck's surface and painted to match the thread plate.  It'll practically disappear.

Seems the Atlas clip fits the LifeLike rather well, so I'll just order a half dozen from Atlas. Thanks for the input gentlemen.
