How is this sound done...

I haven't been paying attention to the latest developments in sound, but how is the sound done in this video.  I'm assuming of course it wasn't added in production phase of the video:

I'm no computer geek or video whizz but I think that it is a pretty safe bet to say that the sound was edited in after the video was shot using some computer program.  There are quite a few videos on Youtube that have been done this way.   I think that it gives a fantastic aspect to the video, oftentimes making the difference between a good video and a great video.

No, it's definitely recorded separately of a real train and dubbed over the model video in post-production.

No question. No model exists (at least in N scale) that can produce sounds such as that. Another giveaway is echo of the whistle blasts, which would not occur on a layout.
