Rock Island AB6 Question

Can anyone tell me when Rock Island removed the coupler door/shroud thingy from the pilots on their AB6's? In this circa-1950's picture, I can't tell if it's already gone or if the doors are just open -

Zero responses? Wow, this pretty much confirms my theory about Railwire. Had I posted this under "N scale", I would have likely gotten some actual useful responses (up until such time as an obsessive/compulsive "moderator" jumped in and moved the whole thing over to some other "tumbleeds rolling though it" topic/category). But no... I decided to try to follow the "rules" and post my question to the most "appropriate" topic; and here we are - zero replies.

No worries though, my questions have been answered through other channels. So kiss my

That's my bad Mark,  I meant to follow up but I forgot about it and there aren't too many here that can talk about RI stuff.

I guess though if that's all it take to leave here, then it was going to happen sooner than later.  It's too bad you didn't learn to just ignore Ian like everyone else does.
