N scale legos

I am a member of a local TTrak modular group (http://www.cottenttrak.net/) my son (5 years old) had a brilliant idea to mix the ttrak module form factor with legos. It's pretty fun how it came out and he is pretty excited about it so i'd say it's a win win. Note how the buildings are almost n scale. Well as n scale as legos can get. We freelanced half the buildings and the other half are a part of the mini modulars set currently available.

And yes those are n scale people.

Hopefully this inspires some of you to "go play trains" and maybe LEGOS with the kiddos. This was a great opportunity to do something together that was truly a team effort and he was more than willing to take time to "build another building".

I've always thought that Legos could be used for representing some poured or cast concrete structures. I think I tried to put together a snowshed once with them that was pretty convincing....

I had Lego's .. including the train set ... in the mid 60s  ... love those things ..

OUCH - that's me stepping on a Lego block left on the floor by one of my sons over 20 years ago.  They are stealthy and hide until you step on them.

The depot on North American Prototype Modelers (HO) is made of Legos.

Certainly Legos provide a way of mocking up structures, albeit rather expensively if you don't already own some. Certainly more flexible than Foamcore or cardstock.

Great comments guys. I was curious how such a monstrosity of n scale proportions would be received.
@kelticsylk - at first we called him Godzilly (read silly there). But then we settled on Legozilla. But I like yours maybe best.

@david up until the point you mentioned it here I had never even considered mocking a structure on a real model rr with them. That's an excellent idea. We have thousands of them so i think the kids can spare some.

@mcjaco - that's an excellent lego structure. they did that one right.
