Two new PS-2 4427 hoppers in May MTL releases

MTL now has the hi-rez images posted on the website.

This number (208712) is not in my N&W January 1st 1969 equipment listing, so it must have been built in 1969 or 1970 latest.

NWZ 208712 is part of the 208700-20719 series of 40' trailers built 1969 by Great Dane... these were 15" drop-deck trailers with vertical inside posts... so the MT model is nowhere close (not to mention missing a lot of lettering and decals).  A photo of 208712 is in the N&W color guide... riding on a F89J no less...

Yet another case of a strange MSB Color Guide snatch and grab by MTL... and again the same page has a straight deck trailer pictured right below it that would be a 90% better choice for their available tooling.

$21.80 MSRP for a SINGLE trailer that's numbered incorrectly, is missing half of the artwork (there's no WARNING HIGH TRAILER, LIFT, lease agreement or ACI label... and while the MT isn't a Great Dane, if you're going to paint it up as one, at least put some red logos on it), and quite frankly, is pretty old tooling...

Compare one to the Athearn Fruehauf Z that you can get two for that price... if you're just looking for a load.

Yeah, the Athearns are really nice. Hmmm, I have some of the Athearn Z's I bought to decal ... and I have the decals ...

I agree Robbman, But Athearn might not be releasing that trailer for quite awhile....and unless someone has intelligence that it will or you're willing to produce the correct one. Well the MTL will be a stand in and it will sell ok.
