I take it those Nscale Collector's MTL Pillsbury covered hoppers are foobies - as the prototypes were PS 4427's - right?

What exactly is the MTL 3 bay covered hopper a model of?? Evans?  Cubic capacity?

Are any of the schemes correct?

They are Marine Industry Limited built cars, 4650cuft, which would make them pretty much the biggest class of cylindrical covered hoppers built. I don't think anyone makes these in N scale... the IM cars are 3800cuft (not sure which builder they represent) and the PWRS / NARC cars are the Hawker-Siddley 4550cft cars, IIRC.

*** Pudd, keep an eye out for CP 386142 (early cylindrical 3400cuft) is likely heading back up to Havelock today after repairs at Agincourt. It's in the multimark and somewhat clean.

Sanity check - these cars have TLDX reporting marks - that would ONLY be on P.S. cars - right?

So the cars are 100% Foobie.

No, they're not foobies. I think Pilsbury's PS 4427s were leasers and wore TLDX markings. I don't know about the paint-out SOO cars or the MT model (not sure about car type foobie status or markings on that one). I'll try to find the article on 4427s I have and check the Pilsbury cars, later. A fair amount of private paint scheme 4427s wore TLDX markings.

TLDX is one of many reporting marks for General Electric Rail Services.  A number of different types of cars fall under these markings though it might be difficult to find a photo of the cars in a specific series.

TLDX is now a GE mark... but it was used by P-S for their Transport Leasing Division... that's why so many private schemes P-S cars have it as a mark, as the cars were leased to them by P-S.  The Pillsbury cylindricals were PBLX.

GE uses the TLDX mark on new tankcars and it's still on existing former TLDX P-S cars

Don't think so... as for what schemes are actually correct on the MT car... I'd have to have a list with numbers
