I'm still waiting for the undec FARR equiped single headlight E8, but looks like they are making an E6:

You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I'll predict that 90% of us will be dead and gone before they actually release it.

The remaining 10% being the kids still in grade school.

It's been close to 5 years since BLI announced the GS4 and SW1500 in HO. Still not on the market, doubtful on their pre-order status.

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

They are shooting for Oct. I think it was which is a bit optimistic but it will just be a shell, the mechanism and sound system is already done so that makes me a little more optimisitic and saves me from buying a couple E7 and transplanting a LifeLike shell on them. Still planning on buying one to slide under a kitbashed EA shell I am working on. I'll wait till the closeouts come on the next batch for the donor chassis.

Not gonna lie here... do we seriously need another cab unit? Do something different for once. Sorry to sound negative on the whole deal but they need to break out of the same ol same ol.

I think the shell may already be done...

One of our club members went to the NSC Convention back in 2005, right after PCM debutted the E7 & E8 at the NMRA Convention in Cincinnati, and was told that the E6 was next.  My memory is a little sketchy on that conversation, since it was 4+ years ago, but I think he told me they had an undecorated shell on-hand.

And as has already been mentioned, it uses the same mechanism and sound system as the E7/E8, so I won't be at all surprised if we see these this year (I also won't be surprised if we don't).

It'd be pretty cool to have some E6s. I don't think anyone's done them yet, and they were surprisingly popular once I started looking.

I know the FEC had some...

I sure love all my Life Like E-6's old design does not matter, they still run quietly and smoothly. Sure I do not get DCC or sound but who needs it. Nate Goodman (Nato).

We do need more cab units, only I'm a fan of the 4 axle variety.  Intermountains are great, Katos are good (but very rare).  In HO there's like a dozen manufacturers doing quality F units.  In N there's 2, and only one of them with any regularity.
