Does anybody make an N scale waffle side boxcar like this in CSX scheme?

I've searched and haven't found anything except a couple of Microtrains of different road names.

The old Roundhouse or MDC tooling is similar to this car.  I think the side sills are a close match and the waffles are close from recollection, maybe with the exception of the solo waffle and it's little friend at the top left, however I think the ends are different if that would bother you any.

Ya the Roundhouse/MDC car is the only game in town for this kind of car.  I'm not sure if MDC did this scheme, though I'm pretty positive they've done a CSX Transportation scheme with large CSX letters.  Athearn (who now owns the tooling) hasn't released this body style yet, but if they did, I'm sure they would do this scheme.

There are very few CSX freight cars made in N scale for some reason--especially boxcars.  You could almost count the number of boxcar releases done in the past five years on one hand.  I guess Norfolk Southern modelers have it worse though.

An Athearn rep at Springfield last year told me they wern't going to release the waffle side cars because they didn't exist. He obviously didn't know what he was talkling about, so I won't take him at his word.

As for CSX boxcars, lately there have been a lot of new editions. Intermountain and Fox Valley also came out with 50' boxcars in multiple #s. FVM even did 2 different schemes and Athearn just released a Berwick 50' in CSX. Also Atlas re-ran 50' & 60' cars with new #s not that long ago I think.

The Athearn rep is correct!  Still, it's the only car in N scale of this type.

It's funny.  I was recently looking at how to make the exact car type CSXTer linked to in his post.  The waffles are OK and the roof is fine, but every car I've come across has six ribs not five, and the ends should look like PS-1 ends (the CSX cars were rebuilt).

After I posted I did some digging and there were more releases than I thought, but not much more ( I was counting releases not road numbers).  So far I've found:

Atlas Trainman boxcar
Atlas 60' auto parts car
Atlas FGE car
Fox V PS 5344 Cuft boxcar
Fox V "Soo Line" car
Athearn 50' Berwick car
Intermountain something or other car

There are also
LBF/Hubert's 50' high cube "big blue" boxcars
Hubert's 60' high cube boxcars
Trainworks 86' auto parts boxcar
MT 50' standard box

The IM cars are PS 5277 in like twelve numbers
FVM has done two different schemes, one on the PS 5344 and one plus one more coming on the 7-post Sooline repaint.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Although the MDC has the wrong number of vetical ribs - it does have the little extra waffle and it's friend - these are located on only one END of the car - and so appear on the left or right side. These must have something to do with load restraint, since the waffles themselves are indentations to stow restraining straps.

It's still not a bad stand in...
