Attn forum members, need help testing Atlas trucks

Have any of you had any issues with Atlas's newer releases? I am specifically talking about the 20K tank and Thrall Gon. Have any of you tried running these cars unmodified in long trains? If so, did you notice any issues with uncoupling, derailing, coupler ride height or anything unusual compaired to regular Accumate trucks?

I am asking those that use Accumate trucks. Some members prefer other manufacturers and complain about Accumates in general. I need assistance with tests, not opinion over whose truck is better.

There may be some major issues with the new supplier and I am trying to determine if there this is a few isolated cars, just my experience or something much larger. I do not want to announce anything until I gather more information and give some time for Atlas to respond to my emails.

Thanks in advance.

 ::) sigh.

Daniel, I'd read something about this, too.  I don't have any of the cars in question, though.  I'd heard varying reports about wheel gauge, too.

I'll be interested in hearing the results.

I don't have those cars, but have been running the new ARA boxcars and offset side hoppers round and round with no problems.

No issues what so ever on my gons and 20k's. I've learned that someone needs to bitch about something all the time in this hobby on the net. And thats true because I read it on the internet!

I have not had problems with couplers, also not with the new trucks,  but I may not qualify for long trains, my maximum is about 18 cars due to space constraints.

But beware as I was the one who started the threads on the Atlas Forum and Trainboard  :o   :-[
It was originally just a question about a new supplier...

guys, he asked for help.

He may be trying to see what is going on and get a basis
for an informed opinion.

Help or not with the trucks as you please.
To tell him he is wasting his time is the opposite of help.
We all benefit from his looking into the issue.

I am saddened to add that I have none of the cars in question.
looking forward to the results.
