Broadway Limited is coming out with high hood SD40-2s too.  They will have sound and will look better than the Athearn ones.

The ones they have made so far look pretty weak next to an Athearn, and the sound is from a GP9, not an SD40-2... of course, if you enjoy paying more for bells and whistles on a substandard model and are blissfully ignorant of the prototype... than BLI is for you.

Yea, I don't like the chicken wire grills and how they don't have a different horn.

They don't look too bad.  I own an AC6000 from BLI and it's not the best (it has really weird gearing that makes it hard to run with other stuff) but acceptable.

I don't like how Athearn doesn't put actual working ditch lights on their models.
