Work on the loadout continues ...

I'm going to add some interior details to the control room before I attach it to the main structure.

Any update on Traincat's super duper double secret probation PRR signal announcement from the Springfield show?

No, I said "Ed's Law."

My guess is that there will be a sizable Railwire contingent attending the show that will provide product announcement updates in a timely fashion.

It's always the open weekend between the NFL conference championship games and the Super Bowl.

I had a rather busy weekend. Took off Friday, completed some woodworking projects and cut up risers for the layout. Nothing photo-worthy, yet. Saturday I spent the morning at the joint NJ/Philadelphia NMRA Division meet hearing Mike Rabbitt give a clinic on the Bessemer process and Ramon Rhodes giving a clinic on Tuscaloosa Railroads in the 60s. Both were very well done. After lunch and spending way too much at Sattler's on coil cars, I hit 3 layouts in the afternoon that were either open or semi-open for the meet:

Rick Bickmore's Harrisburg Terminal: http://bit.ly/1dLJDjN
Jim Musser's Steel Mill Layout: http://bit.ly/1ePfIUb
Hoboken Shore Layout: http://bit.ly/1dQ6toR

Sunday I then went to the World's Greatest Hobby show with my Dad and daughter. She had a blast riding Thomas and again, buying way more stuff then I probably should have, and most of it was Thomas Wooden Railway stuff for her plus the Bachmann Emily HO set for an upcoming birthday. It was at a price point I just couldn't pass up. I have a feeling they'll be a small layout being built as part of the birthday present in May,

I was with New Jersey Southern at the WGH show. In comparison to 2009, it certainly was a lot smaller, at least dealer and manufacturer wise.
I forgot to hassle BLI about the M1a, but I did tell Bachmann good-job on the EM-1 and S4, and I told them to go sit in the corner for their monstrosity of an NW2.
Athearn is doing fantasy schemes on some modern-era loco in N-scale. I was too disgusted to even tell them that it is 2014 and not 1980.

Friday night I stopped by Doc's layout on the way home from setup. I kept having to tell myself (as usual) that it is O-scale and most of the detail ideas cannot be translated to N-scale...  :|

I actually got some real work done this weekend. Put the second marker-light on my brass N5c (in as close as I could get to the correct position, of course), and I also made some progress on my PRR A5 kitbash. The iPhone photos will be going up on the thread later today.
