The last of the PCC photos taken in Brooklyn, New York.

PCC's 1074 and 1040 at the Canarsie end of the Church St. line. The Bristol St. loop on October 13, 1956.

PCC 1058 leaves the Bristol St. loop bound for the 39th St. Ferry Terminal at the other end of the Church St. Line on Oct. 13, 1956:

Almost four years after the last streetcar ran in Brooklyn, the only streetcar ever built by Clark Equipment Co., NYCTA 1000, resided in front of the Superintendent's Offic at the Coney Island Shops in August 1960:

Another view of same. Note the boarded up switch tower on the elevated.

Next week, the New York City Transit Authority had some really odd items floating around in 1960. We will look at some.

Annapolis Junction last Saturday:

MARC station near Jessup just East of Annapolis Junction:

This ones for all you truck fans.  Was located in a junk yard behind the MARC station:

Caught the autorack train at the station in Laurel.

The train stopped in front of the station.  Checked in the autoracks and it was carrying Chevys.

Genesee & Wyoming Australia operate a narrow gauge (3'6") railway in South Australia serving the One Steel steelworks at Whyalla. The line was originally operated by the steelworks themselves, but GWA took over the operation in 1999. Recently they have transferred in five of their Alco 'baby gators' from other operations around Australia. With the exception of the first photo these were all taken on 22 & 23 December last year.

This is what they used to look like....

and this is what they look like now

There are detail differences in the rebuilds

The original diesel locomotives built for the line were standard GM G12 export models which have been substantially rebuilt...not a pretty sight

A mixed combo with another GM model brought in from Western Australia leading
