Are these red, boxcar red, or both?  Can't tell if the second photo is box car red with bright red paint patches, or red underneath grime.  Looking for more photos, specifically of cars 210110 and 210152.

This looks somewhat close to the red on the old SP stacks (a bit redder than boxcar red).

Thanks Gary, you saved me some money.  Another strange color choice from MTL.

Ah, I get it now - you must be referring to this:

Side note: both prototype photos were taken by employees of Atlas.  ;)

Here's another clean shot, from 2000, courtesy of railarc:

Note the JB Hunt 48' can in the bottom well which has had the Hunt logo placard fall off....

Northwestern Oklahoma's well cars are Ex-BN. So they should be RED RED RED.

MTL color is way off.  :P

Most of the NOKL standalone 48' Husky-Stacks are former Arizona & California, bought around 1999, renumbered/repainted into the 2101xx and 2102xx series...

Don't know the disposition of the later 2012xx series 48' standalone Husky-Stacks... but there's no obvious paint-out/removal of the BN logo... just an obvious remark/renumber.

Add in that the 106 standalones BN bught went to BNSF in the 203xxx series (I've seen a few repainted into BNSF as well)... and that they've only disappeared in the last few years,  well after the later NOKL 2012xx cars started appearing...

NOKL did have quite a few former BN three-unit all-purpose 48' Husky-Stacks, these were recently cut down to 40' wells.

Dah, your right. I was thinking about the 3 unit sets. I should have pulled out my records before opening my mouth.

Bottom line, still RED RED RED though.
