Just how sanitary can you make a stock car ? And no matter how hard you try it will still be distasteful to me .

they papered up the sides quite a bit to hold the grain. Of course after processing, what it came in won;t matter as much.

Then don't eat it.

All manner of birds, bugs, and other fauna have touched or crapped on your wheat before it was even harvested.

You think using stock cars to move grain is unsanitary? Try tomatoes! PRR used to move tomatoes in spare stock cars to catsup and tomato juice plants in Ohio and Indiana when ventilated boxcars weren't available.

Actually, tomatoes are in a skin, and wheat is in a husk, somewhat protecting them when further processed as they are separated from their covering.
