Don't say I never did anything nice for you.  I'm not sure which CR unit became 1202, perhaps one of your blue-blooded buddies can help you there.  But I did risk life and limb for you by surfing on top of an RS-3m.  (not really, it wasn't moving at the time... ;D)

Interesting, those aren't stock RS3 grills.

Any idea if the unit came like that from CR, or were they an MDDE change?

Not sure, but the original grilles are under there.  That's just a sheet of expanded metal screen over them. 

In scanning through the Fallen Flags site, the pictures all show the original fins, but there aren't any shots newer than 1980
This one seems to have the same roof configuration...

I saw that on a different shot. I didn't know they had that screen over the ribs.

It's interesting to see the differences in the things you notice from N scale distances and up close like that.

Considering the grillwork is the "anti-vandalism" grills commonly used on windows probably a MDDE change (seems like a small shop job)
